That's right...

we're taking a break from the cookie making.

We've had a great time - me and my three cookie monster's, but recent events have forced us to go on hiatus...

"Why", you ask?

Let me share with you the weather forecast...


Tuesday, June 2nd - 85 degrees

Wednesday, June 3rd - 85 degrees

Thursday, June 4th - 86 degrees

Friday, June 5th - 72 degrees


You get the picture, right?

We feel so lucky to have this gorgeous weather and, by the looks of it, there's plenty more to come!


But how does this have anything to do with cookies?


We're in the Pacific Northwest.
The very rainy Pacific Northwest.

80 degrees is pretty darn warm up here in our neck of the woods, especially when we're not equipped with the luxury of having air conditioning at our fingertips!

Don't get me wrong - I am NOT complaining! We have been waiting for this! It was a long winter and an even longer and dismal spring.
The sun has finally come out and we're loving it!

But you can understand why we're not so keen on the idea of turning on the oven...

Plugging in every fan we own can only do so much in an already hot house - no need to go adding more heat!

So, until further notice, you can find me and the cookie monster's out on the deck with tall glasses of lemonade and half-moon's of watermelon!

Stay tuned though because Owen and I have big plans for filling the cookie jar again!

We're just going to have to start exploring the No-Bake recipes...
